Questions before you pay
Is a 50/50 split always fair?
No. A percentage only tells part of the story. Compare the split with lead ownership, customer ownership, expenses, support, chargebacks, payment timing, and termination terms.
Does an agent receive the whole broker margin?
Usually not. An agent agreement may divide the brokerage revenue or gross margin after defined costs. Read the agreement carefully and ask how each deduction is calculated.
